  • GAMELAN - musical ensemble featuring variety of instruments like metallophones, xylophones, drums and gongs; bamboo flutes, bowed and plucked strings. It consisted the Javanese indigenous instruments.
  • PATHET - modes in Indonesian music that depend upon the highness and lowness of tones.
  • BALUNGAN - core melody
  • PENTATONIC - 5 notes per octave
  • HEPTATONIC - 7 notes per octave
  • IRAMA - tempo
  • SLENDRO - musical scale in Indonesian music having 5 tones in an octave; each notation has its own tone and system of notes by titilaras ji-ro-lu syllables.
